Neither board on these uprights is sold on its own any longer. SEBO packs the power supply 5848ER together with the computer controller 5849ER and sells the pair under 5850ER, covering the AUTOMATIC X1, X2, X4, X4 Boost and X5.
The pairing exists for a reason, and it is the reason single orders go wrong. Both boards were revised at the same time, so a current example of one will not work against a superseded example of the other. Taking the kit removes any need to establish which of the two actually failed, and it makes a mismatched set inside the machine impossible. Proof of the redesign sits in the ribbon that joins them: SEBO ships 5205/1 as a two-pack holding both the earlier and the later length, because the gap between the boards changed when they were reworked.
What leads owners here is electrical. Random shutdowns, controls that do nothing, or a motor whose speed drifts once the cord, the switch and the motor itself have been cleared all point at these two components. The kit occupies item 112 on the AUTOMATIC X4 X5 diagram with the ribbon cable next door at 113, and a ribbon that has chafed against a moulding will mimic a board fault convincingly, so inspect it before condemning either board. Photograph the connectors before pulling any of them, since where the harness runs matters as much as the parts themselves.
