Cord storage on an upright is three parts doing one job, and SEBO groups them under a single number. Kit 5768DB is the dark blue set for the AUTOMATIC X4 and the AUTOMATIC X5. Inside are the hook, part 5703DB, along with handle 5721 and spring 5146.
The spring decides whether the whole arrangement works. It loads the hook against its detent so a coiled cord holds its position; as the spring softens, the hook rotates away under the pull of the coil until the loops slide off unaided. A hook cracked at the mounting boss, or a handle that has gone loose in the hand, ends up in the same place, with a flex trailing across the floor where it gets stood on and eventually damaged.
All three items are handled at the beginning and the end of every clean, which is why they wear at a similar rate and why they are packaged as one order code. Fitting a single new piece against two tired ones tends to bring the same repair back round within months.
