SEBO Top Casing for D4 Canisters with Bag Spring and Hinges, Red

Every bag change loads the lid, its hinge axles and the spring that grips the bag collar, which is why the top half of a hard-worked D4 generally gives out before the bottom does. Part 8003DRER is the red top casing, and it ships with the bag spring 8140ER, the cover axle set 6750ER and the cover hinges with axles 8052ER.

The failures follow the wear. A spring that has lost its tension lets the collar sit loose, so dust bypasses the seal and ends up in the compartment rather than in the bag. Worn axles leave the cover standing proud where it will not latch, and once it does not latch the machine leaks air at the seam and pulls less through the hose. Renewing the shell together with all of its hardware puts the whole lid assembly back to factory tolerance in a single operation instead of three separate repairs spread over a year, each one chasing the symptom the last one exposed.
