Product details

Rated 120V and 1250W, this is the suction motor SEBO specifies for the AIRBELT K canisters, catalogued as 6631ER. It arrives as a serviceable kit rather than a bare motor: the sizing adapter, the motor mount and the thermal cut-off wire all come with it, so the assembly drops into the housing the way the original one sat. The AIRBELT K diagram places it at position 17.

Its neighbours on that sheet trace the whole power path. The electronic controller sits at position 14, the white internal cable 6638 at position 16 carries the supply from that board to the motor terminals, and the motor cover 6679GS at position 21 closes over the finished assembly and steers cooling air around it. A fault anywhere along that chain shows itself at the motor, which is why the motor gets blamed first more often than it deserves.

The thermal cut-off wire in the kit is worth understanding before ordering. It exists to shut the motor down when it runs hot, so a machine that stops after ten or fifteen minutes and comes back once it has cooled is very often a restricted airway rather than a dying motor — a full bag (6629AM) or a loaded filter set (6696AM) will do exactly that. Genuine motor failure reads differently: a scream that was not there last season, a hot electrical smell after a short run, or suction that fades as the machine warms up. Worn brushes and tired bearings are the usual reasons, and neither improves on its own.
