This OEM Hoover field coil bolt for the Model 65 secures the field coil within the motor housing on Hoover 1030, 91, C1065, C1067, C1069, C1085, C1091, C1111, C1125, C1401, and additional models. The bolt clamps the coil assembly tight against the vibration of a running motor.
If this bolt loosens or its threads strip, the field coil can shift inside the motor, leading to a rattle, weak power, or an unreliable electrical connection. Torquing a sound replacement bolt back down holds the coil firmly seated so the motor delivers its rated performance.
