This is a clear 12-inch bumper for Sanitaire Quick Kleen uprights, part number 87.035. The bumper runs as a trim strip across the leading edge of the nozzle housing, absorbing the knocks a commercial machine takes against baseboards, furniture legs and doorways, contact that can happen dozens of times over a single nightly route.

Once a bumper cracks, splits, or comes loose entirely, the housing itself takes that contact instead, and scuffed walls and chipped plastic follow soon after. Being clear rather than a solid color, this bumper is meant to blend into the housing instead of standing out as a visible trim piece, which matters on a machine used in front of customers. Swapping the strip before it fails protects both the machine and the space it works in, and it is a five-minute job compared with replacing the nozzle housing it protects.
