This is the replacement 48V DC motor and fan assembly for the Riccar R10CV and Simplicity S10CV cordless ultra-lightweight uprights, sold as part number D223-0400. The fan comes already fitted to the motor, so the two go in together as one unit rather than being assembled and matched up on the bench.

Because a cordless unit's motor pulls its power straight from the battery pack, a motor drawing excess current eats into every runtime long before it fails for good. Suction that fades mid-room, a bearing whine that climbs in pitch, or the unit dying under load, all three point toward the motor instead of the battery, particularly when swapping in a charged pack makes no difference.
