Canplas 90-Degree Short Fla...

Product details

Part 765556W is Canplas's short-radius 90-degree elbow built with an integrated flange and rubber gasket, rather than a plain solvent-weld socket on both ends. The flange lets one end of the fitting land flush against a wall plate, cabinet back, or fixture face, and the gasket does the sealing work at that face instead of cement.

Central vacuum installers reach for a flanged short elbow where a full-radius sweep elbow simply will not clear the framing, typically the last turn into an inlet valve or mounting plate set behind drywall. It is a generic fitting sized to standard 2-inch outside-diameter central vacuum PVC, so it works with the pipe already run in the wall rather than with one specific power unit brand or model; match it to your existing pipe diameter before ordering.

Because the gasket carries the seal instead of cement, how it seats matters more than how tight the mounting screws are. Run a finger around the gasket face before final assembly and look for a spot where the rubber has rolled under itself or pinched at a corner. That kind of uneven seat is the most common reason a flanged joint that looks perfectly assembled still leaks air, and any air leaking in behind an inlet quietly pulls suction away from every other room on the run.

  • Part: 765556W, Canplas flanged short 90-degree elbow with gasket
  • Fits: standard 2-inch OD central vacuum PVC pipe systems (verify your existing pipe diameter before ordering)
  • Construction: short-radius 90-degree bend, gasketed flange face, solvent-weld socket on the pipe end
  • Use: tight-clearance turns that land flush against a wall plate or mounting surface, most often the final elbow into an inlet
