Product details

Carbon brushes are the sacrificial contact between a motor's power supply and its spinning armature, and they are meant to wear out. Part 33392-9 is the yellow-winged brush assembly used in Ametek Lamb high-efficiency motors, sold individually.

Worn brushes give plenty of warning. Suction fades gradually, the motor starts cutting in and out, you may see sparking at the commutator through the vents, and there is often a hot electrical smell after a long run. Left too long, the brush holder scores the commutator and a cheap brush change turns into a motor change.

It fits Ametek Lamb motors 115922, 115923, 116579, 116589, 116746-22 and 116844-01, plus the Rapid Groom 21217H. Because they are sold one at a time, order two so both sides go in together - a single fresh brush working against an old one gives uneven commutation and neither lasts.
