This adapter converts the square-neck wand fitting used on many Beam and Electrolux central vacuum systems to the round 1 1/4 in. fitting that most attachments use. It fits onto the wand end and opens up the full range of standard round tools, crevice tools, dusting brushes and upholstery tools, that would not otherwise connect to a square-style wand.
This adapter is listed for the Electrolux EL6988D, EL6988E, EL6988EZ, EL7000, EL7001, EL7005, EL7020, EL7025 and EL7055, along with the EL8602A and EL8605A, and several other Beam and Nutone platforms built around the same 1 1/4 in. attachment standard also accept it.

Check both ends of the adapter against your hose, wand and attachment fittings before ordering. A loose connection at either end bleeds air out of the system instead of pulling it through the tool, undercutting the whole reason for adding the adapter in the first place. The adapter itself is a passive fitting with no moving parts, so a failed connection almost always traces back to wear at one of the two mating ends rather than the adapter body.
