Product details
On the Panasonic MC-V7337 the brush roll turns in a bearing, and that bearing sits in a moulded seat at the end of the roller. Part AC88SAHFZ00 is that seat. It holds the bearing square so the agitator spins on its own axis instead of drifting inside the nozzle.
A cracked or worn seat lets the bearing move. You hear it before you see it: a rattle or a rising whine from one end of the nozzle, then the roller slows, wanders, or binds against the housing. Because the belt is still driving, people replace the belt first and the noise comes straight back.
Fit the new seat with the roller out, and take the chance to check the bearing itself and the ends of the brush roll for grooving, since a seat rarely fails on its own. This part is listed for the MC-V7337 brush roll.
