Part 2038413 is the cap and insert assembly for the water tank on Bissell PowerFresh steam mops. The cap closes the tank and the insert controls how water feeds through to the machine, so the two are supplied and replaced together as one piece.

Heat, scale and constant opening and closing are what finish it off. The seal hardens, and then the tank weeps down the side of the mop while you use it, or the fill runs slow and uneven because the insert is blocked. A cap that no longer bites when you tighten it tells the same story.

It fits the PowerFresh steam mop 1940, 1940A, 19402, 19404, 19408, 1940F, 1940Q, 1940T and 1940W, and the PowerFresh B0017. Keep the seal wiped clean of scale and the new cap will hold far longer than the one it replaced.
