No pump, no spray. Part 2037433 is the solution pump assembly for the Bissell commercial extractors, confirmed on the 10N2, 86T3, 40M1, 3288 and BG10.
The pump pressurizes cleaning solution out of the tank to the spray tips, and it fails in two directions. Sometimes it goes silent and nothing comes out at all. More often it just gets weak, buzzing away while the carpet only ever ends up damp, which is the worse case because the machine still looks like it is working. Scale from hard water and grit drawn in from a carelessly filled tank are what usually finish them.
When you fit the replacement, flush the line and check the tips at the same time. A partly blocked tip behaves exactly like a failing pump, and it is far cheaper to rule out first.
