Of everything on a Bissell BG10, the handle grip is the part you have hold of every minute the machine is running. Part 2037448 replaces it, and the same grip serves the 86T3, 40M1 and 10N2 machines our fitment data covers.
Grips go slick, then they crack, then they start to turn on the tube. On a machine this heavy that matters more than it sounds, because a grip rotating under your hand takes the control out of a pull stroke and puts the load into your wrist instead. Cleaning chemicals and years of hand oils are what break the material down.
It is among the cheapest parts on the machine and among the most noticeable when it goes wrong. Fitting takes a few minutes and needs nothing beyond the fasteners already on the handle.
