Product details

The bottom plate closes the underside of the cleaning head and sets how the machine meets the floor. Part TMC91A-4D00U is the replacement assembly for the Panasonic 1060, covering the height the head rides at, how tightly it seals against carpet, and where air enters the nozzle.

Plates crack from the edges and lose their mounting tabs before they break outright, so the damage often hides until you turn the machine over. What you feel first is a head that skates over carpet without gripping, or one that picks up well through the middle of a pass and leaves debris at both edges. Both are air getting in somewhere it should not.

With the plate off you have the clearest view of the brush roll and belt you will get, so check them before it goes back on.
