Powr-Flite Brass 90-Degree ...

Product details

This solid brass street elbow, sized 1/8 in., turns a line through a complete 90-degree bend within a single fitting, sold as Powr-Flite part SW139. One leg threads in male, the other female, so it screws directly into a port and takes the next fitting on its far side with no extra nipple needed between them, which saves space in a cramped plumbing run.

A fitting this size belongs in carpet extractor plumbing, wherever a short solution or recovery line needs a tight turn. Brass shrugs off corrosion that would eat into a steel fitting exposed to the cleaning chemicals and moisture passing through that line, which is why brass, not coated steel, is the standard choice for small fittings on this class of equipment.

  • Size: 1/8 in.
  • Turn: 90-degree angle
  • Material: solid brass
  • Configuration: street elbow, male to female

Check the thread size against your existing fitting before ordering it, and use a thread sealant rated for the line in question so the joint does not weep at the threads under pressure. Two thread standards can look alike but bind or leak once torqued down, so if the old fitting carries no clear marking, thread the new one in by hand first and confirm it seats fully and evenly before applying sealant and tightening it the rest of the way.
