Sized for the compact chassis rather than a full-size PowerForce, this ten-inch brush roll, part 1606837, fits Bissell's PowerForce Compact and CleanView Compact upright lines.
It covers the 2112 family (2112Z, 2112R, 2112N, 21129, 21127, 2112), the 1520 family (1520X, 1520W, 1520V, 1520U, 1520R, 1520N, 1520L, 15209, 15208, 15207, 15204, 1520), and the 2690 and 3508 machines as well.
A compact upright leans on its brush roll for most of the actual cleaning work, since there is less machine behind the nozzle than on a full-size model, so agitation rather than raw suction is what pulls grit free of the pile. Worn bristles leave visible tracks that still look dusty even after a slow, careful pass. Hair that winds tightly around the end caps is the other common wear pattern, adding drag that gradually slows the roller and, over enough time, overheats the belt driving it.
If you are unsure which roller is in your machine, measure the one you have before ordering rather than going by appearance. Bissell brush rolls are not interchangeable across its upright lines, and two rollers that look alike at a glance can differ in length or in how the ends are formed, so check the model number on the rating label against the list above.
