Pulling the brush roller out of an X7 starts with the release button on the right-hand side, and part 52034DR is that button in the red finish used on the machine. Press it and the roller unlocks so it can be lifted clear for hair removal, unclogging or a straight swap; let it go and the roller is captured again.
The button is a small moulding under constant spring load, and it either cracks at the pivot or loses its tension after years of service. Once it does, one of two things follows. Either the roller refuses to come free, which turns a two-minute maintenance job into a fight and means it stops getting done at all, or the roller drops back in without ever locking, and a roller that is not locked runs loose in its seat and works away at the bearing blocks either end. The positive click as the button returns is the confirmation that the roller is properly seated, so a button that no longer clicks is worth replacing on its own account rather than waiting for it to break off entirely.
Note that the release buttons are handed. This is the right-hand part, and the left side carries its own number, so identify which side has failed before ordering. Colour is the second identifier, since SEBO moulded this button to match each of the X7 body finishes; the red version is what this listing supplies.
