Getting the roller out of a SEBO 350 Mechanical for a hair clear-out depends on this catch working properly. Part 50433HGER is the light gray release built for the 350, listed at position 108 in SEBO's own drawing, and it is the difference between a roller that drops out in seconds and one that has to be persuaded.
Wear shows up in two directions. Either the release will not let go on the first try, and someone levers at it until a tab breaks, or it lets go too readily and the roller creeps in its seat while the brush is loaded. The second is the more expensive fault, because a roller that will not stay square pulls the belt to one side, heats it, and wears the bristle row unevenly across the head. Neither is worth living with on a machine that gets stripped for cleaning as regularly as this one does. A new release restores clean removal and a firm hold in the same fitting.
