Everything the Duo does depends on its brushes. They carry dry cleaning powder down into a carpet and work it through the fibres, so a set that has gone short and limp reduces a deep clean to a surface dusting. On fine wool and low pile the soft grade keeps that agitation going without scuffing the face of the weave, which is precisely why SEBO catalogues two filament grades for one position on the drawing. The firmer roller is 3005ER, drawn at position 27 of the Duo parts sheet, and dimensionally the two are the same component.

The roller seats in the brush housing 3001HG at position 31 and runs against the right-hand bearing block 3010HG at position 30, so those are the parts worth inspecting while a roller is out — a scored bearing block will chew through a new roller end far quicker than carpet ever does.

Rollers are supplied one at a time, so order as many as your machine takes and change them together — a new roller working alongside a worn one gives uneven agitation across the width. While the machine is open, look at the drive side as well. SEBO lists two separate drive belts for the Duo, 3038 and 3042, so a belt bought at the same time as a roller has to be picked by position on the drawing rather than by name.
