Sold with its mounting screw so nothing is missing at reassembly, 2542 is the brush strip cover fitted to the SEBO ELECTRONIC 370. The cover caps the brush strip and keeps it retained where it belongs in the cleaning head.

The strip it holds is what does the agitation work in carpet, and it can only do that job if it is held firmly at the correct height. The cover is what provides that retention. Covers get knocked out of true when the head meets something solid, lose their screw over time, or crack at the fixing point once the plastic has aged, and any of those lets the strip underneath begin to move. Anything loose inside a cleaning head eventually finds the brush roller, which turns a small part into a larger repair, so a cover that is no longer holding tight is worth changing straight away.

Refitting a sound cover with a fresh screw is a five-minute job that keeps the head assembled the way SEBO built it. Because the screw comes in the pack there is no hunting for a fastener of the right length at reassembly. With the head open, the brush roller pulley 2458 and the inner roller bearing 2467 are both easy to check, and both are listed for this machine.
