This replacement Panasonic bottom plate gasket (part #AMC19A-F0Z00) fits all Panasonic power nozzle bottom plates. The gasket seals the joint between the bottom plate and the nozzle housing to keep the suction chamber airtight.
Rubber gaskets dry out, flatten, and crack with age, and once the seal fails air leaks in around the plate instead of pulling through the nozzle. That leak shows up as weak pickup at the floor. A new gasket closes the gap so the nozzle recovers its full suction.
