Winding and releasing a full-length cord several times a day is what eventually finishes off a cable hook. Kit 50220HGER replaces the light gray pivoting hook on the SEBO 300 Mechanical and the SEBO 350 Mechanical, and it arrives with the screw, washer and spring that make the pivot work.
When the spring loses its tension or the hook body splits at the pivot boss, the coil slides off and the cord ends up trailing on the floor behind the machine, where it gets run over, crushed against door frames and eventually damaged at the plug end. The tell is a hook that swings loose under its own weight instead of holding its position. Replacing the hook together with its hardware puts the snap back into the pivot rather than hanging a new molding on a spring that has already gone soft.
Because SEBO packs the fasteners with the hook, no separate order is needed, though the fixings are catalogued individually as well: locking washer 0141 singly or 0141ER in a ten pack, washer 3.2 as 0143 or 0143ER. The cord itself is 501843 if the outer sheath has been nicked, and the handle assembly this hook mounts near is 50214HGER in matching light gray.
