Product details

Order code 5768GS covers the cord-storage group on a SEBO AUTOMATIC X4 Boost in gray black. Three components come under it: cable hook 5703GS, carrying handle 5721 and stop spring 5146. SEBO places those three in consecutive positions on its exploded view for a reason — they are one arrangement, not three unrelated fittings.

The spring is usually the first to let go, and it does so by degrees rather than breaking. Its job is to resist the outward pull that a wound cord applies for the entire time the machine is stored, and as tension fades the symptoms creep up: an extra turn needed to make the cord sit, then a firm push required, then wraps on the floor as soon as the vacuum is lifted. Hooks tend to give way at the mounting boss instead, and almost always on a machine whose cord has been dragged off rather than unwound. The grip in the same group splits around a fixing under the weight of repeated lifts. Renewing the set means a new spring behind a new hook, and no need to work out which of the three actually failed.

  • Machine: SEBO AUTOMATIC X4 Boost
  • Finish: gray black, referred to as graphite on this model
  • Inside the kit: 5703GS cable hook, 5721 carrying handle, 5146 stop spring
  • Sold as: a three-piece factory kit
  • Order number: 5768GS
  • Duty: cord retention and lifting grip at the top of the body
  • Graphite trim on this machine: 50747SE front cover, 5763GS bag housing, 50799GS power head cover, 5711GS exhaust filter cover, 5031GS right-hand bearing block, 5721GS carrying handle in graphite, 5799SB display, 5644AM handle with cord and switch

Identifying the finish is straightforward from numbers a machine already carries. Where a power head cover is stamped 50799GS and a bag housing 5763GS, this is the kit that belongs with them. SEBO produces the identical trio in other finishes under separate codes, so it pays to confirm the trim rather than order from the model badge. Common search phrasing includes the number by itself, a SEBO X4 Boost cable hook kit, and a graphite cord hook with stop spring. Ships in 2–5 business days.
