Five micro filtration paper bags in the Hoover H30 Plus size, part 322. This is a replacement bag rather than a Hoover branded one, and the H30 Plus size is the one used by Hoover's Telios S3332 series canisters, the Runabout S3330 series, and the S3420 canisters.
Micro paper holds finer dust than plain single ply paper of the same shape, which matters most in a canister that vents its exhaust back into the room rather than outside through ducting. A bagged canister then loses performance in one direction only: as the bag fills, the surface area left for air to pass through shrinks, and suction falls off well before the bag looks full to the eye.
Replacing at roughly two thirds full, rather than waiting for the bag to feel heavy in the hand, keeps the machine running at the pickup it was built for and stops the motor laboring against a restricted path for weeks at a time. Note that the bag is only the first stage on these canisters. The secondary and exhaust filters are separate items and are worth checking on the same schedule.
Keep a couple of spares rather than a single bag, since a canister in regular use goes through them faster than the interval suggests at first, and give an older spare a quick look before fitting it, as paper left in storage a long time can go brittle at the seams.
