A FELIX or a DART carries two carbon sets, one in each motor, and they are not interchangeable. This is the pair for the 7041ER suction motor, the motor that moves the air, and SEBO lists it as part 05140S.
Because the suction motor runs the whole time the machine is switched on, while the brush motor only draws current when the head is engaged, these carbons usually reach the end of their travel first. The signs accumulate rather than arrive: pull weakens across every floor type instead of on carpet alone, the note of the motor climbs, and in a darkened room arcing becomes visible through the exhaust grille. Fits the SEBO FELIX Premium, FELIX 2 Premium and DART.

- Check as well: bag, filters and hose, since a restriction produces weak suction with perfectly good carbons
Renewing the carbons before they run down to the springs keeps the commutator underneath from being scored, which is the difference between a service item and a motor. If suction on a FELIX Premium or DART has fallen away and the bag, filters and hose are all clear, worn carbons in the 7041ER are the usual answer.
