Product details

Flat-head socket screws seat flush where a raised head would catch or snag, and part 19255 is Carpet Pro's No. 8-32 by 1/2 in. version finished in black oxide. The countersunk head sinks into a matching recess in the housing, while the internal hex drive gives a wrench far more grip in a tight pocket than a Phillips or slotted head ever could.

Black oxide is a thin conversion coating rather than a plating, so it darkens the steel to disappear into a black housing while giving a modest boost in rust resistance, all without adding any measurable thickness to the fastener.

  • Part number: 19255
  • Thread: No. 8-32
  • Length: 1/2 in.
  • Head style: flat, countersunk
  • Drive: internal hex, socket key
  • Finish: black oxide

Countersink depth matters as much as thread pitch on a flat-head screw, so start it by hand and check that it draws down flush with the surface before running a driver to full torque. Ships to you in 2-5 business days.
