Product details
Carrying an upright up a staircase puts the whole weight of the machine through one moulded grip. On the ESSENTIAL G4 and G5 that grip is 51109HG in light gray, shown at position 19 on SEBO's ESSENTIAL G4/G5 parts drawing.
Carrying handles fail from fatigue rather than abuse. A hairline crack starts at one of the mounting bosses, spreads a little with every lift, and for a long time does nothing more than creak. Then one day it opens up under load. If yours creaks when weight comes onto it, moves against the body, or shows a line in the plastic near a fixing, change it before it drops the machine down a flight of stairs. This is one of the few parts where the failure mode is worse than the part.
The grip is moulded in light gray to match the rest of the bodywork, so a replacement also tidies up a machine whose handle has gone chalky or scuffed from years of being carried. Other light gray panels for the same models are the complete bag housing 51150HG, the front cover 51151HG, the internal cover 51115HG and the bumper base 51102HG.

The upper section of these machines is well served by genuine parts, so if the handle is coming off it is a good moment to look at the rest: the handle tube is 5187, the complete handle with cord, tube and switch is 5624AM, the switch itself is 05113 and the power cord is 5450DG. A SEBO G4 carrying handle replacement is a straightforward fit with the right screws noted as they come out, since not every fixing on this panel is the same. Genuine SEBO replacement, authorized dealer stock, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
