This Cen-Tec female-to-female stub tube (Part #50701) is the short connector tube that links the hose handle to the wand or tools on Cen-Tec central vacuum hoses. It is the correct stub tube for the Cen-Tec dual-volt and low-volt soft-grip handle sold as #50712.
The stub tube takes the brunt of daily wear — it twists, bends and absorbs impacts every time the wand is inserted or removed. Over time the ends crack or the friction fit loosens, causing tools to fall off or air to leak at the joint. Swapping in a fresh female/female stub restores a snug, airtight connection without replacing the entire handle.
