Product details
Part 50657A is the replacement wiring harness inside a Cen-Tec 3200 grip electric hose. It carries power from the hose conductors through the switch and on to the tool end, which is why a grip whose switch clicks normally while the power nozzle stays dead usually points at the harness rather than at the switch itself.
Wiring inside a hose handle is flexed every time the hose is coiled, dragged around a corner or hung up at the end of a job, and that repeated flexing is what fatigues a conductor or works a crimp loose. The result is rarely a clean total loss. It shows up as power that cuts in and out while the hose is moved, which is easy to mistake at first for a failing switch or a worn cord.
Rule out the simpler causes before ordering. The wall outlet, the connection at the machine end and the tool's own cord are all faster to check than opening a handle, and any of them can produce the same intermittent behavior.
Replacing the harness means opening the grip housing to reach the internal wiring. Photograph the routing and the lead positions before anything comes apart, because the layout is easy to forget once the shell is open and the wires are loose, and keep the hose disconnected from the machine throughout.
