When a central vacuum hose clogs or a tool seals tight against a surface, airflow through the power unit can drop to nearly nothing — and vacuum motors cool themselves with that same moving air. A bleeder valve is the system's pressure relief: it opens automatically under excessive vacuum to admit cooling air, protecting the motor from overheating during blockages. If your system is missing one, or the old valve has stuck shut or started leaking constantly, this black replacement valve installs in-line to keep the power unit safe. Part #10002-BK.
