Product details

Strip a SEBO 300 Mechanical down far enough and one part is left holding the geometry of the whole machine: the light gray chassis, part 50414HGER, shown as item 102 in the model's parts drawing. Motor mounts, brush roll seats, running gear and body panels all take their alignment from it, which is why it is the last component anybody wants to find cracked.

A chassis damaged by a hard drop, or warped by years of heat and load, throws those relationships out quietly rather than dramatically. The belt begins tracking off centre and running warm, bearing blocks load unevenly and start to growl, panels no longer meet flush, and the machine wears itself out faster than its hours suggest. The individual symptoms all look like separate faults, and replacing them one at a time never quite settles the machine down. Building the internals onto a true chassis resets the alignment so every component sits where it was designed to sit.

Plan the job before you start. Transfer components one at a time, keep fasteners grouped by location, and photograph the wiring runs before anything is disconnected. The parts that mount to this chassis on the 300 Mechanical include power head cover 50401GSAM at position 100, switching unit 50443UL at 105, air channel cover 50308ER at 106, bearing block 50356HG at 109, front bottom plate 50404HGER at 114, rear bottom plate 50310HGER at 116, brush roller 50470ER at 121, belt 5110 at 122 and motor 50465ER at 136. Bumper 50313HG sits at 103, and the swivel neck supports are 50440ER on the right at 140 and 50439ER on the left at 142.
