Set the machine down onto the tray and rinse the brush rolls in place, following the rinse steps in the machine's own instructions rather than improvising a method over a bucket. Rinsing the rolls while they are still mounted is what keeps the job short enough that it actually gets done after every session, and it keeps the dirty water in the tray instead of spreading it around a laundry sink or a bathtub.
