Product details

Part 70215 is the rear wheel axle for the Compact and TriStar main canister, fitting the EXL, MG1 and MG2 series. It runs across the back of the body and holds both rear wheels in line with each other.

An axle that has been bent - usually by the machine being dragged sideways up a step - stops the wheels running true. The canister pulls to one side, wobbles as it follows you, or drags a wheel that no longer turns freely, and a dragging wheel is what leaves marks across a hard floor. A broken axle simply drops a wheel and the body with it.

With a straight axle back in, the canister rolls freely and follows the hose instead of fighting it. Check both wheels spin cleanly on the new axle before closing the body up.
