Gray black trim is what gives hook 7027GS a number of its own. It is the cable hook fitted to FELIX uprights in that finish, and unlike most of the colour variants it covers two machines rather than one. Fitment: SEBO FELIX Premium and SEBO FELIX 2 Premium.
Its duty is simple and its duty cycle is brutal. The arm anchors to the handle tube and carries a coiled lead between cleans, taking a bending moment one way as the cable goes on and the reverse as it comes off. Moulded plastic has a finite number of those in it. Failure is progressive rather than sudden: stress whitening appears at the base, then a hairline, then a clean break. Plenty of owners keep using a hook that has started to split, since it still grips a loose coil, but every cycle opens the crack further and when it finally lets go the lead drops in front of the wheels.
There is no worthwhile repair. Adhesive has nothing to key into on a glass-smooth moulding, and any joint would sit exactly where the stress peaks.
