Lugs on this panel are a consumable in all but name. Each filter change works them a little harder, and one of them eventually lets go. Part 8249SWER is the black panel that closes that bay, made for the E3 Premium and listed on SEBO's AIRBELT E schematic as item 4.
Once a lug has failed the cover buzzes faintly or stands a hair proud of the body, clamping load drops away, and the finest dust begins leaking at the joint. Nothing about the machine sounds different, because the fault lies at the very end of the air path rather than anywhere that affects the motor. The sheet makes that sequence clear enough: bag at item 21, pre-motor filter box at item 20, motor at item 9, then the exhaust filter behind this panel at item 4. A replacement puts the load back across the media and closes the last leak in the chain.
The swap is external, needs no tools, and is normally done at the same time as a filter change rather than on its own.

Black and gray black are two separate numbers in SEBO's list, so check yours in daylight rather than under a bulb. One more trap is worth naming before you order: item 24 of the AIRBELT E sheet is also called a filter cover and carries 8224 series numbers, but that one belongs to the bag compartment and will not fix a loose exhaust panel.
