Product details

One number covers two components: a spring for the cover latch, plus the retainer that keeps that spring where it belongs. SEBO draws them at item 6 of the AIRBELT E sheet and sells them together as 7045ER. Read the sheet upward and their home becomes obvious — item 5 is the middle casing 8230ULER, annotated by SEBO as including positions 6 and 7, position 7 being the 8053ER bolt this spring bears against. Order the casing and these arrive with it; order 7045ER on its own and you are refreshing the spring inside a casing that is otherwise still good.

Latch force comes entirely from that spring. With it healthy, the lid snaps down and holds. Fatigued or broken, the cover shuts but exerts nothing. Drag the canister across a doorway strip or bump it up a stair and the lid flies open; worse, it can sit a fraction proud and let air slip past the bag seal without ever looking open. Fine dust appearing along the outside of the machine, a stale note in the exhaust, and a bag that stays suspiciously flat all fit that picture. Fitting the spring with its retainer puts the clamping load back where the design expects it.

  • Part number: 7045ER
  • Fitment: SEBO AIRBELT E1 KOMBI, AIRBELT E2 TURBO and AIRBELT E3 Premium canisters
  • Supplied as: one latch spring with its retainer
  • Diagram position: item 6, AIRBELT E sheet
  • Housed in: middle casing 8230ULER at item 5, listed as including items 6 and 7
  • Bears against: bolt 8053ER at item 7

While the machine is open, check the seal the lid presses on and the media behind it. The filter set for these canisters is 8322AM and the AeraPure bags come as the 8300AM box. Should the lid still sit loose after a new spring, work along the sheet to the release button at item 36 and the locking mechanism at item 37. Authorized SEBO dealer stock, shipped in 2-5 business days.
