Readivac Crevice Tool - RS1...

Product details

Readivac lists part RS1000-P005 as the crevice tool for the Eaze stick vacuum, and it fits both the RS1000 and the RS1030.

Those two are the same machine. Readivac renumbered it to RS1030 in July 2020, and the only change was that the newer unit starts in high speed rather than low, so parts carry across both without a second part number to track.

The Eaze converts between stick, handheld and extended reach modes, and the crevice tool is what makes the third mode worth using: baseboards, the gap between cushions, stair edges, the sides of a car seat and the corners a floor head cannot enter. It pushes onto the wand or straight onto the handheld body the same way the original did.

A cracked crevice tool is a common and misleading cause of weak suction. A split anywhere along the taper draws air in at the point where the tool should be concentrating it, so the machine feels tired even with a clean filter. That split is often easier to feel than to see, so run a fingertip down both sides before looking further into the vacuum, and confirm the tool still seats on the wand without wiggle, since a loose joint leaks the same way a crack does.

  • Part: RS1000-P005
  • Fits: Readivac Eaze RS1000 and RS1030
  • Type: tapered crevice tool
  • Replace when: the taper is cracked or the joint no longer seats tightly
