Part 159398A trades Kirby's usual stiff-nylon bristle for a natural-fiber row set in a single line, producing lighter agitation that suits Berber, wool and other delicate weaves prone to fuzzing under a harder roller. A natural-fiber row is softer than the stiff nylon used on a general-purpose roller, so it agitates the surface without scouring the face of a delicate weave.
It fits Kirby Generation 5 through G10D and the Sentria, and mounts in the nozzle without adapters or extra hardware, just like the roller it replaces.
Natural fiber softens with age instead of snapping outright, so the wear shows up gradually. Watch the bristle tips against the pile: once they fall short of the carpet at the nozzle's usual working height, agitation has dropped below a useful level and the roller is due for a swap. Because the fiber is softer to begin with, a delicate roller typically shows this kind of gradual wear sooner than a standard nylon roller would under the same amount of use.
