Part 2DS2101000 is the F38 filter for the Dirt Devil Gator cordless hand vacuum line, sized for the compact dirt cup these hand vacs use rather than the larger cup on a full-size upright.
Fits the Dirt Devil BD10085, BD10090, and BD10100. Gator hand vacs cover a small run of closely related model numbers, so checking your unit's model plate against this list, or comparing the filter you are pulling out against this one directly, confirms fit faster than guessing from the vacuum's general appearance.
Cordless hand vacs run on limited battery power, so every bit of restriction from a loaded filter costs runtime as well as suction. A Gator that used to clear a car seat or a stair in one pass and now needs two or three, or one whose motor note has gone duller under load, usually has a filter that has stopped passing air the way it should.
Rinse the filter if debris is loose and dry, but once the media has visibly grayed or fine dust is packed into the pleats and will not tap or rinse free, replace it rather than continuing to clean the same worn filter.
