Dirt Devil's MVP upright takes a Style 6 belt, and this is the replacement, part 17367. It links the motor to the brush roll so the roller keeps turning at speed while the machine is on carpet.

Belts give warning before they break. The roller turns slower than it used to, the machine leaves lines of hair and lint behind it on a second pass, and the pitch of the motor changes as the load falls away. When the belt finally snaps, agitation stops completely and the MVP becomes a suction-only vacuum: fine on bare floors, close to useless on carpet.

Replacement is a bottom-plate job with no special tools. Check the brush roll ends for wound hair while the plate is off, because a roller that will not spin freely by hand will cook a new belt as fast as it cooked the old one.
