Two pads, two stages of one job. SEBO 3286ER40 pairs a red pad for working up a poor surface with a yellow pad for bringing the shine back, both cut for the DISCO floor polisher.
Sequence is the part that gets reversed. Red goes down first on flooring that has been scuffed, marked or simply left too long, taking the surface back to something even. Yellow follows and raises the gloss on the surface the red pad prepared. Run yellow straight over unprepared flooring and it burnishes the damage in place, which shows up worse in raking light than the dull floor did. The two are not alternatives to each other, and the green pad 3230ER30 is a third grade again: it holds a finish, it does not create one.
Both pads run under the DISCO head, turned by the machine's own drive — the SEBO parts list gives that as motor 3252, motor pulley 3222 and drive belt 3221 behind belt drive cover 3202. Pads load with residue as they cut and a loaded pad stops working the floor and starts polishing itself, so treat them as stock rather than as spares. Having the pair in hand is what lets a floor go through preparation and finishing in a single visit instead of standing half done between deliveries.
