An indicator panel that has gone cloudy or taken a crack looks like a cosmetic problem, right up to the point where dust starts getting in behind the lens. SEBO 5730GS is the gray black replacement — the small status window set into the fascia of AUTOMATIC X4 and AUTOMATIC X5 uprights.
What breaks these panels is contact rather than use: a stair nosing, a door architrave, a table leg met at speed. The lens crazes, a corner lifts, and the recess behind begins to fill with the same grit the machine is meant to be collecting. Because SEBO built these uprights in a range of trims and moulded a panel to match each one, the colour code matters as much as the model when ordering — a mismatched display will work perfectly well and look wrong for the rest of the machine's life.
