Sold as a single piece, part CD1402AM is the round replacement brush for SEBO's DUO carpet cleaning method, its bristles set in the circular pattern that gave the daisy brush its name.
Everything the DUO method achieves depends on mechanical contact with the carpet, so the condition of this brush decides how well the compound performs. Fresh bristles stand upright and reach between the tufts, carrying powder down to the level where soil is actually held. Tired ones lie over, lose their bite, and strand the compound on the surface where it never meets any dirt at all.
That failure is usually misread. Owners conclude the powder has gone stale or that the whole method has stopped suiting their carpet, when what has really happened is that a consumable brush reached the end of its life. Swapping the brush is a far smaller job than replacing a cleaning system, and it puts back the agitation the method is built around.
