Product details
The strip of moulding that runs along the foot of the bag housing is the first part of an upright to meet a baseboard, and dark blue AUTOMATIC X4 and X5 machines use 5702DB for it. SEBO's AUTOMATIC X4/X5 drawing carries the bumper base at item 47, between the locking rod 5083 at 46 and the bag housing itself at 48.
Bumpers are meant to be sacrificial. They deform, take the energy out of an impact and keep it away from the shell behind them, and after enough seasons of that treatment the plastic hardens, tears away from its fixing tabs and finally drops off. From then on every knock arrives directly on the housing, and splitting one of those means changing a much bigger moulding. A new strip puts the buffer back and tidies the front of the machine while it is at it.
- Fits: SEBO AUTOMATIC X4 and AUTOMATIC X5
- Colour: dark blue
- Sits: across the lower front edge of the bag housing
- Diagram position: item 47, AUTOMATIC X4/X5
- Part number: 5702DB
- Other dark blue panels: 5749SE front cover, 5755DB bag housing, 5711DB exhaust filter cover, 5713DB brush roller release, 5768DB cable hook with carrying handle and stop spring
Look over the mounting tabs on the housing while the old strip is off, because a tab that has broken away will leave the new bumper standing proud and it will be knocked off again in short order.
The same moulding in other finishes is 5702WE in white, 5702GS in gray black and 5702SW in black. Shoppers searching for a SEBO X4 bumper strip, an AUTOMATIC X5 dust bag housing bumper, a dark blue bumper trim, or the number 5702DB on its own have found the right listing. Genuine SEBO spare, supplied by an authorised dealer. Ships in 2–5 business days.
