These motor carbon brushes (Part #10-8400-01) come as a spring-loaded pair for your Dyson DC07 and fit the DC07 bagless upright. They ride against the motor commutator to carry current into the spinning armature.

As the carbon wears down, the brushes lose steady contact and the motor begins to spark, lose power, or stop running altogether. Left too long, poor brush contact can damage the commutator itself. Fitting a fresh pair restores clean, consistent contact so the motor runs smoothly at full suction again.
