Product details

Black ElectraValve II, part 775850BLK. This is Canplas and Hayden's direct-connect central vacuum inlet: the hose cuff plugs straight into the valve and the power head draws its power there, which removes the extension cord that older non-electrified inlets forced you to trail across the room.

What separates the II from the inlets it replaced is the E-Box. Instead of a factory lead of fixed length, the installer brings their own 12 or 14 gauge wire and cuts it to the run, so there is less waste on a long pull and no splice on a short one. The valve is ETL approved and made in Canada.

Before ordering, check what is behind the wall. This new-style inlet is not compatible with old-style rough-in kits that shipped with romex already attached, and that mismatch is the most common reason one of these goes back in the box.
