End Cap Insert - Sirena Can...

$9.99

Product details

The brush roll in a Sirena canister power nozzle spins on a cap at each end, and this small insert is what those caps register against. Part 97 presses into the open end of the roller so the cap has a solid, correctly sized seat instead of bearing on worn plastic.

You notice a failed insert as play. The roller end lifts and drops as it turns, agitation goes uneven across the width, and the noise from that end changes from a hum to a rattle. Left in service, the slop transfers into the bearing and shortens the life of a much more expensive part.

It is a press fit, done with the brush roll out of the nozzle. If the end cap itself is scored or oval, replace the two together — an insert cannot take up wear that has already gone into the cap.
