Red machines take a red head, and 9299AM is the switched ET-1 in that finish. It is listed for the FELIX Premium upright, for the AIRBELT E3 Premium and AIRBELT K3 Premium canisters, and for the C3.1, with the rocker on the head so the brush can be stopped where you are standing.
Driving the brush roll from a motor inside the head is the whole point of the design. On carpet the roller keeps working the pile at a constant speed, which airflow alone cannot manage once the pile gets deep, and being able to shut it off matters on hard floors and on loose rugs that a live roller would drag across the room. The head is the smaller of SEBO's two driven types and takes a 12-inch brush roller, listed as 5010AM with 5010GE as the soft-bristle version.
The unswitched red equivalent, for systems that control the brush upstream, is 9296AM — worth checking before ordering, because the two look alike in a photograph and differ only in that rocker. Black and white builds of the switched ET-1 are 9951AM and 9258AM. A head is the right purchase when the housing is cracked, the drive has stopped or the switch no longer holds; where only the bristles are flattened, the roller on its own is the cheaper repair.
