Inside a bagged Eureka, the bag holder is the fitting that grips the paper bag's collar against the fill tube — and when it cracks or loses its grip, bags slip loose and dust blows straight into the bag compartment instead of into the bag. If you keep finding dirt outside the bag on your Eureka 970 series machine, the holder is the first thing to check. Installing a fresh holder seats each new bag firmly so every bit of debris ends up where it belongs. Part #61583.
